- How do I get my driver's license?
For information on how to obtain your driver's license visit the following:
- Is there a cure for Spinal Cord Injury?
No, unfortunately there is no cure for spinal injury. Research is being conducted to find one but at the moment there is only prevention. Research is one of the many areas that PBF Australia funds.
- Can you still play sport if you have a permanent Spinal Cord Injury?
Yes, depending on your level of injury there are numerous sports you can play, such as wheelchair tennis, wheelchair basketball, quad rugby, track and field and hand-cycling.
- What can I do if my friend is driving dangerously?
Be assertive - remember it's your life and your choice. Explain to your friend how his or her unsafe driving makes you feel and politely ask them to drive safely. If your friend continues to drive dangerously, don't get in a car with them next time. Practice being assertive and think about how you would approach the subject with a friend if he or she is driving dangerously.
- How much alcohol can I drink and still drive?
It is difficult to judge your BAC, so the best way to make sure you're safe to drive is to not drink at all. There are many factors which can affect your Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) (See alcohol section) including size, build, gender and consumption of food.
L and P plate drivers
The legal limit is 0% in all states except WA where the legal limit is 0.02%. This means you should not consume any alcohol if you are planning to drive.
Other drivers
The following is a general guide for remaining under the legal BAC limit of 0.05%: Males - no more than two standard drinks in the first hour and then one per hour after that. Females - no more than one standard drink per hour.

- Can I use my mobile phone in my car?
You can only legally use a mobile phone when your vehicle is parked in a designated parking area. A mobile phone may be used while driving if the driver is using a hands free device. This means a mobile phone cannot be used to text, talk, e-mail, send or take pictures even when stopped at a set of traffic lights.
