Symon Still
"No one is immune from a spinal cord injury. There is only prevention because there is no cure."
Working as a Physical Education teacher, Symon was riding his bike to work when he was struck by a four wheel drive. The driver of the vehicle was inattentive at the wheel. He was 24 when the crash took place and is now paraplegic.

Justin Lunn
"I took many risks and didn't care much for my personal safety...I never imagined anything could restrict my lifestyle".
At 19 years old Justin was injured while surfing. Justin didn’t care much for his safety and often undertook risky behaviour both at work and in his leisure time. Justin is now a quadriplegic.

Peter Allen
"Next time you see someone doing something that could put them at risk, say something...you could save their life!"
Peter was 37 years old when he was injured at work through falling from a stack of pallets. Peter was rushing because he was held up on a Friday afternoon and made a rushed decision that contributed to his fall. Peter is now a paraplegic.

Greg Willmott
"If you’re driving and you feel tired find some other way to get home."
Greg was injured during a fatigue related crash. He worked long and hard hours and consistently ignored the signs of fatigue. Having a ‘bullet proof attitude’, Greg didn’t stop to think about the consequences of driving while tired. He is now a quadriplegic and is confined to an electric wheelchair.

Paul O'Brien
"Always expect the unexpected...accidents can occur at any time."
Paul was working as a plumber when the roof of the storage shed he was working on collapsed. Paul fell six metres leaving him a paraplegic.
