With 33 years of experience in all facets of wheelchair design and manufacture, Dion Reweti used his concept of the perfect chair to start Wicked Wheelchairs. Providing custom-made, stylish wheelchairs for people with a variety of special needs. Chairs that express a personal individuality and style while remaining functional and practical.
Dion sustained a spinal cord injury after a motorbike accident in 1983. An active and adventurous person, he wasn’t happy with the standard 18kg wheelchair he was given in hospital, so started a 10 year apprenticeship with a company who manufactured customised ultra-lightweight manual wheelchairs.
Wicked Wheelchairs has become PBF’s newest Corporate Member in Queensland. Covering their staff and supporting our mission to create greater awareness of the risks of spinal cord injury, with the aim of reducing the impact and incidence of spinal cord injury in Australia. Dion and his staff have the knowledge, experience and most importantly understanding of what is necessary in prescribing wheelchairs, pressure relieving seating and other products.
Dion loves extreme sports but acknowledges there are dangers involved. Professional individuals who partake in extreme sports consider all aspects of safety before they commence. These highly trained individuals find their chosen sport incredibly freeing from the confines of a chair. Likeminded enthusiasts should check out the video link on Wicked Wheelchairs website. It features wheelchair freestyle, paddling, canoeing, skiing, mountain climbing, off road and motor racing.
