A Club that Chose to Protect its People

The Sunshine Coast Triathlon Club is a shining example of how community organisations can look after their members beyond the finish line. With over 60 members and growing, the club isn’t just focused on fitness and performance—it also prioritises the wellbeing of every member.
By partnering with PBF Australia, the club has taken a proactive step to ensure its members are financially protected should the unexpected occur. Triathlon is a sport built on resilience, determination, and pushing limits, but with those challenges comes risk. Recognising this, the club’s leadership wanted to provide members with financial protection in the event of a life-changing spinal cord injury, a critical support when it matters most.
Through their PBF membership, club members gain access to this member benefit, demonstrating that safety and wellbeing are just as important as performance. This partnership sends a strong message: “We care about you not only as athletes, but as people.”
For PBF Australia, collaborations like this show how sport can lead by example. By prioritising protection and community, the Sunshine Coast Triathlon Club proves that great clubs don’t just build strong athletes—they build strong, supportive communities.
