PBF Australia & RAC WA – Road Safety Through Real Experiences

Back

1 April 2026

PBF Australia is incredibly grateful for our ongoing partnership with RAC WA, which allows our lived experience presenters to deliver powerful road safety presentations to over 100,000 secondary students across Western Australia in schools such as Applecross and Balga Senior High Schools, St Mary’s Anglican Girls School, John Forest Secondary College, Alta-1 and Trinity College.

These presentations are not about statistics or road rules alone; they are about real people and real consequences. Our presenters share their personal stories and how one decision on the road changed lives forever. Students hear first hand about the lasting impacts not only on the people in the car, but also on their families, friends and the wider community.

The goal of these sessions is simple: to encourage young people to make good choices, look after their mates, and understand that driving is a privilege that comes with great responsibility.

Through this partnership, we hope students leave with a new perspective on road safety and the understanding that one good decision can change a life for the better.

Our long?standing partnership with PBF Australia continues to add significant value to RAC’s suite of school?based road safety education programs. The powerful personal stories shared by PBF presenters have become a key component for secondary schools seeking to strengthen the impact of their whole?school approach to road safety.

I have personally had the privilege of witnessing members of the PBF team share their lived experiences and inspire young people to thoughtfully consider the everyday choices they make on our roads. These sessions consistently resonate with students and leave a lasting impression.

The Injury Prevention Program is a highly adaptable presentation that can be seamlessly embedded into existing learning frameworks, making it well suited for delivery across a range of education and community settings. – Des Duguid (RAC – Manager, Community Education)
