PBF Australia’s tailored injury prevention programs are delivered by people living with spinal cord injury, sharing real stories that drive safer choices at work, on the road, or at play.

Make your workplace safer todayDesigned with the goal of reducing the number of road deaths and serious injuries, our award-winning and impactful Road Prevention Program targets students in years 10, 11 and 12 who are at pre and novice-driver levels. The program engages and educates young drivers on the risks of the road and the consequences of poor decision-making.
Road Injury Prevention ProgramDesigned in consultation with the McCusker Centre for Action on Alcohol, our Youth Alcohol Prevention Program aims to inspire responsible drinking behaviour through personal testimonies of how poor decision making after consuming alcohol has had devastating consequences on themselves and others.
Youth Injury Prevention ProgramOver half of all sporting and leisure spinal cord injuries in Australia occur in, or on, the water and tragically almost all result in quadriplegia. Our Aqua Injury Prevention Program targets students in years 6, 7, 8 and 9 and aims to reduce the incidence of serious water injury or drowning through the promotion of essential water safety skills.

Founded in 1984 by world-renowned spinal surgeon, the late Sir George Bedbrook, PBF works towards preventing spinal cord injuries through accidents. We deliver injury prevention programs and provide much-needed financial support for members who sustain a total permanent traumatic spinal cord injury.
For those already living with paraplegia and quadriplegia, we offer peer support programs, lifestyle education and employment opportunities with the goal of demonstrating that life can and does go on after a spinal cord injury.
